I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

for a generic question heres a generic answer

For 99% of things VB under NT/2000 works the same as VB under win9x, networking/file access (most of it)/ and everything else works the same.

Here are the only differences:

- No support for new hardware USB/Firewire etc. (NT only, Win2000 includes the latest support)
- Security (most programs won't be affected, NT takes care of it)
