VB Setup Program

I used VB to create a setup program. Also, I copy this VB program and all related dll files inside a CD ROM.
The VB program has no problem. But when I run the VB setup program in the machine which has no Office (Or a new installed Window 95), there is an error : MSVBVM60.dll file is linked to missing export OLEAUT32.dll... I am sure these two dlls I have already in the Windows\System .
Can anyone help me ??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

MSVBVM60.dll is the VB run time DLL. It is not a DLL that you would expect to find on a PC that has no VB or VB applications installed.
Try setting up a dependancy setup for your own AX dll's if you have any.

First, are you using SP3? If not, get it. It corrects a lot of troubles.

Second, get vbrun60sp3.exe from http://support.microsoft.com/support/VBasic/runtime.asp?LNG=ENG&SA=ALLKB and execute it prior to your installation. This will install the core files that VB installation needs.
There are multiple possible answers to your question, but since you were not that specific, i give you this:

1. Did you register those DLL's and OCX's after you copied them?
(use revsvr32.exe to do that)

2. Did you copy ALL of the dependencies and other DLL's needed for program to run? (some OCX and DLL files need other DLL's to run properly or even to register properly)

THE EASIEST solution to your problem is to use the new and from my point of view totally astonishing VISUAL STUDIO INSTALLER (free download from Microsoft). I am sure that will save you a lot of trouble. It works quickly and with few or no bugs.

This VS Installer is a way. But when I use the setup created by VS installer, the computer needs MDAC_Type.Exe SP1 file installed first .
