about Visual Desining
I'm a Computer Programmer since 1993. But I feel it's very bore to me. (In our company, we are developing system and designing the applications in Visual Basic, Oracle and Ms-SQL server) So i decided to change my field to Visual Designing, and become a good designer. B'caz naturally i'm a good designer. So please suggest me about Visual Designing (or Graphical Designig). What are all the software related with it and valuable for job searching? Please reply to me. You want to know Photoshop, Illustrator and either Quark or InDesign like the back of your hand. Not just the basics. Those are your tools. Then you will probably want to find a simple job in your local print house for entry level experience in prepress. They will teach you about bleeds, trapping, color correction, etc etc. My suggestion to you is to master Illustrator first. Then move to Photoshop. Most people reverse this but they fail to realize the power of illustrator. InDesign/Quark come last as a means for publishing the work. Taking classes in all these tools is also a good way to start. A degree is even better.
