A simple regular expression question

I need to replace:
have_url:XXXXXXXXXXXX:
with:
url_descript|XXXXXXXXXXXX|have_url|

where XXXXXXXXXX is some text i don't know in advance, I know there is some kind of method of using \1 in the end of the regular expression in order to store the replaced text but I havn't been able to use it.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
