Photoshop LE and simple web apps. Adequate?

As the photo editor for a print mag whose staff collaborate almost entirely online (intranet space plus email), I need to post thumbnails and mod. resolution images within a MS Frontpage html environment.  Our designer and pre-press staff use Photoshop 5 and other tools for graphics manipulations in both print and ezine formats.  Will PS Limited Edition be adequate for modest graphics manipulations (conver. to greyscale, resizing, embedding of caption info, etc)? I don't want to spend the time or money on PS 5 or higher.  Thank you for the advice.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If it is ONLY for minor conversions and resizings and, yes, captions... yup, LE would do.

But.... in the future you might want to do other adjustments... I'd consider acquiring PS5.

Good vibes!!!

Thanks for the simple answer to my simple question.  I appreciate the advise about PS5 for higher level work, but I will go ahead with my plan now.

This is a nice system!
