Turning off/on screen saver by an application

I would like to turn off a screen saver (if  anyone is active) by my application (written in Borland C++ 5.02) and to restore its previous state at end of program. How can I do it ?
In June 1999 I received your response (from cpopin) indicating the key ScreenSave in Registry. Unfortunately I couldn't find such a key using my Regedit application. Are the informations about current screen saver anywhere in Registry ? I work with Windows 98 release 2
Thank you in advance for response

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Use the SystemParametersInfo function with SPI_GETSCREENSAVEACTIVE and SPI_SETSCREENSAVEACTIVE.
