UPPERCASE processes in Task Manager

What is the purpose of processes in the task manager being UPPERCASE?  Does this signify anything?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

 I donot think so.
It probably is the file name you have specified in Version Information of the file (VC++ I donot know others handle it).
For a moment i was tempted to beleive that NT Services were in caps but MSDEV .EXE and OFFICE.EXE are not services.

I will probe for more info.
Feel free to ask.

Hi,

If the internal name of the version information of a file is in Capitals the name of the file will appear as capitals in the task manager.
Renaming the file name wont work. In VC++ we change the internal name and recompile to get the exe.

Bye for now.
