Odd .ft subfolders in mail folder

I've noticede that in my mail folder of my Notes server some new subfolders have appeared.  These new subfolders have a .ft extension after it.  For example a new subfolder appreard called username.ft.  Each if these new .ft folders have the same subfolder structure, each containing subfolders such as morgue, assists, style, pdd, temp, tpoicidx, trans and work. One of these .ft folder has gotten to be 18mb is size.  Not sure what it is and if its safe to delete it.  I have a total of 70 users on this sever, and only 5 of them have somehow created the .ft folder in the mail folder.  Is it ok to delete it?

They are full text indexes.  It's ok to delete, but the users that created them could recreate them if they wanted.  There is a notes.ini setting Update_No_Fulltext=1 to disable users creating full text indexes on the server.

One last thing, you have to restart your server for this setting to take effect.

I dont see that partcular line in the Server's Notes.ini, so I will add it, right?  Also did you mean to modify the notes.ini file on the client PC or on the server?

Sorry, you have to add the line in the notes.ini file on the server.  This will disable anyone from creating full text indexes on the server.
