kde stuff

all the books say use the command line.. my question is
where is the thing and how do i get rid of kde if i want to
and how do i get a scsi drive to log on???

Once KDE loads, you hit, CTRL+ALT+F2 for a command line, then CTRL+ATL+F7 to get back to KDE.  Also CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE from KDE will Log you out of KDE.

I don't know about the SCSI thing.  I'm still new to linux.
