Printer not detected in RH 6.1
When i was using my printer (HP Deskjet 895Cse) worked just fine with RH 6.0, now that i have reinstalled under RH 6.1 when i go to set up a printer in lpr it shows "not detected" on the port i used to use (lp0)... any suggestions?

How did you set it up in RH 6.0? Others have tried and failed. It is not supported?!

Actually it would be prettier to add your module probing instructions in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules. :)

well my good man, you just won my vote for man of the year! thanks a ton...
now as for what driver i used... i used HP Deskjet 550/560/6xx C
and it worked for me.. although it still prints the text continously.. if you guys want to help with that... add a comment and i will make another question..

You have proper driver for that in 6.1
deskjet 850/855/870/1100 series ..try that if this driverdoes not work you can try for HP Deskjet/Deskjet Plus .
The continuous printing is due to improper drivers.;)

gives me a syntax error... it used to work... (though i think it still had the error) and now my printer does not work agan... i am jsut asking a favor... if you answer this and make it work again, i will give you another 50 points...
