"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

- Firstly delete all the .PWL files from your \Windows folder

- Reboot

- When you're asked for a user/name. Enter a user name and for the password enter nothing (just click Ok)

- It will ask you to confirm the password - again enter nothing

- It won't bother you again.

The above will work if you do not need to logon to a network if you do get TweakUI - part of the Microsoft PowerToys - and you can set it up to automatically enter a username and password each time you start up.
