This means that the game requires a card that a 3d specs. In other words, you need a new graphics card. Don't worry, for $100 you can get a voodoo 3 pci, one of the best cards on the market. It will also give your  computer a few more years of being able to play games that are the cutting edge.

why would I need a new 3-D card already? My computer is barely 1 year old.It just seems it is this game.

Well it depends. What card do you have? How much on board ram does it have?

it's a64 bit PCI Graphics with Direct3D. Do we maybe just need an accelerator card? I'm not that computer smart so I really don't know

Well, unless you have another game that requires a 3d card, then I think you need one. Download a demo for a game that says it requires a 3d card, and then see if it will run. If not then you need a 3d card, if so, then call tech support, tell them they have bug, and get a refund.
