Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

no, chr() and asc() will only give you a conversion for a 1-byte value, and will give you ascii values, not numbers. . .

for example, asc("1") is 49, not 1.

use val()

Be careful with rounding conventions if the string is not an integer.

The most literal equivalent in VB would seem to be CInt, but val will do the trick too.

Well, I guess the function Val() will do the job.
