Mac OS9 - TCP/IP - OT Turner Patch

I copied the following from a Macintouch list of problems
with OT Tuner patch.

"After installing OT Tuner 1.0 I cannot get the DHCP client
to work. They would all return 169.x.x.x, or 0.0.0.0 after
negotiating with DHCP.

we have a brand new IMac DV Special Edition. On
December 29th, I ran the standard Mac Software Update,
not specifically going for the OT Tuner Patch.

The next day, network access (@home.com) was still OK.
2 days later, we started experiencing the same problem
noted above, except.....I can't find any reference to the
OT Tuner in extensions. Is the extension actually called
OT Tuner or am I looking for the wrong thing? It was my
understanding OT Tuner is not included in the standard
software update, so am lost as to what is causing this problem and how to fix it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

                       Thanks much

It is called OT Tuner 1.0. It should be located in your extensions folder if you have it at all. If not then You may be experiencing these problems due to other reasons and it was purely coincidental. Contact your ISP and see if they have been experiencing problems.
