Winsock TCP

Okay what I have is a client and it connect's to the game server. Now i'm continually sending and recieving data.
Now i have another for that list's information. Now I send the "request for information" now how do i get the recived information from my request and have it in a different string with out getting other data being transfered ?

IF you know what data you'll be receiving, you could use a
Select Case statement...I've used something similar in a client/server app I have, but they're not continually sending data...A control array would probably help, depends how you're using the code....
