hard disk power down?
I'm running DPMS under mandrake 6.1 and everything works fine, but is there any way of gettting the hard drive to power down after a set time, other than through the bios which doesn't work.
Many thanks

"20 minutes of inactivity" that is.
hdparm -S 240 /dev/hda
will shut down hda after 20 minutes.
do a man hdparm to see the parameters.
(only works on IDE tho, for scsi you need something like scsispindown)
