You need to install a web server such as Microsoft Information server, but if you want only to test your script you can:

add Microsoft Peer Web Server at network configuration, service tab, if you use Windows NT.

If you use Windows98 you can install Microsoft Personal Web Server that exists in Windows 98 CD-ROM at add-ons directory.

After that you can define an aliase for your www directories that will contain any html and perl scripts.

You would then use http://mycomputer/myvirtualdir/file.html

(no www)
take a look at the hosts.sam file sitting in u'r windows directory... assuming that this is only gonna be for local testing.

Then just add an entry for and call it whatever you like
