"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,
 You can use:
1. Messages
   SendMessage()
   PeekMessage()
   TranslateMessage()
   GetMessage()

2. Named Pipes
   CreateNamedPipe()
   ConnectNamedPipe()
   WaitNamedPipe()
   TransactNamePipe()

I would prefer Messages to named pipes.

Hope this helps.

U can do the following.
Get the main MFC application window handler.
From others process use post message with the MFC window handler and command.
for that u should define user command.

in MFC mainAPP overide the PreTranslateMessage function.

Have fun
