installing SQL 7.0, will it cause problems?

I find myself in the position of needing to learn SQL. I would like to know if there are any known problems with loading this on a Windows 98 system (specifically a Compaq 5686), are any files overlaid, deleted or otherwise compromised?

I have installed version 7 on Win98 and NT.  No problems show up on Win98. But it does affect my NT system.  When I shut down NT it won't close down it just hangs and I must power off.  It may upgrade any ODBC drivers on your system if they are older than the ones on the disk.  This can be fixed by installing the latest MDAC.  I would suggest installing the latest MDAC anyway to make sure the ODBC files are all compatible.

highmarks is right that ideally it should work fine.  I have other apps (SalesLogix, Office97, Office 2000, VB5 sp3, VB6 sp3) which I think may be causing the conflict with SQL 7.
