opposite of ^

I've got a web page where an item can be moved up and down in a select box.  For the 'move up in list' button I use ^ as the text on the button what is a good symbol for a 'move down in list'?

How about a lower case "v" ?
..... and for up, try:  ^   -- I don't know if it will work on a button, but it's worth a try.
