"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I use a mapi component called TEmail,or if you dont want component see this demo project of sending mail using mapi  api :
http://www.bhnet.com.br/~simonet/archive/mapimail.zip

but if you dont have to send attachements you can do:

uses shellAPI,

Var
Buffer : String;
recip,subj,mess : String;
begin
recip:= Edit1.text;   {message recipients email address}
subj:=Edit2.Text;     {message subject}
Mess:= Memo1.Text;    {message}
Buffer:='mailto:'+recip+'?subject='+subj+'&body='+mess;
ShellExecute(Application.Handle,'open',PChar(Buffer),nil,nil,SW_Normal);

I dont think this will do the job
Actually I need a control (like SMTP) which can be used from each system
(Not OCX or sth like it)

The NMSMTP component is pretty easy to use. Note that this is SMTP mail; you have to use the Username as in an Outlook mapi user profile. You can add attachments but it is not neccessary. Of course you'll have to connect to a mailserver: use the IP-adress instead of the server name (that's a bit of a bug: the FromAddress property is not included in the sent message).

The demo is in \Demos\FastNet\Smtp
