Hello in Delphi how do I change the windows wallpaper?
What code  do I put in the onClick event to change the wallpaper to
say 'wallpaper.bmp'?
Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

hi,
this will do:

procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
var
bitmap : string;
begin
opendialog1.execute;
Bitmap:='opendialog1.filename';
SystemParametersInfo(SPI_SETDESKWALLPAPER,0,Pchar(BitMap),
SPIF_UPDATEINIFILE + SPIF_SENDWININICHANGE);
end;

While that does work normally, it doesn't address if someone is using Active Desktop. I have a good code sample for changing the wallpaper in either scenario on my website:
