port 139 wide open

I have discovered that port 139 on the pc i use for web browsing is open and could be a security problem.  How can I close it?  I do not offer any web service.

and also, if you scanned this from the outside, your port will probably show as open, since it is filtered at your ISP.

port 139 is open for netbios and is frequently used by hackers to crash computers usually such attacks result in
Fatal exception 0E error...

this port is open also in win95 and 98..
