awk Tutorial
Anybody know any sites where I can find a "awk" tutorial ??

If you had given me a few sites maybe I might have given you some points, but pointing me to a search engine is a bit of a no-brainer.
I'm looking for a tutorial that somebody who has recently got to grips with awk has tried. I'll up the points to 40

Did you actually try the search engine though? I did actually take a look at the resouces it pointed at and the web siteswere pretty informative. The reason I didn't give the urls is cos Jeeves is a meta search engine, which means the url looks something like this:

Try http://www.engin.umd.umich.edu/CIS/course.des/cis400/awk/awk.html
it is about as good as the book I bought for $28 :(

I found this online reference very helpful...
http://www.prounix.com:457/OSUserG/_Using_awk.html
You can go up a level to the main table of contents for other chapters besides awk.
