What exactly do you need to do? e.g. Make a string field wider?

CDaoRecordSet::m_pDatabase is a pointer to the underlying database object.  You can use that to access the CDaoTableDef object for the table you want to modify.  This web page has the details:

Precision:

I need to increase the size of text field in a access database (which is already dissaminated). I can not replace the old database with new database, I must upgrade the old to keep data and keep integrity constraints.
I wish avoid to recreate the field (new column, copy data, delete old, renanme new delete the temp column).

Are sure that possble using CDaoTableDef object, I did not see any method to change size?
