I am trying to connect to my oracle 7.x server on the solaris machine from Java pgm. I am using the thin-driver classes [which make use of sockets] from oracle, as soon as i try to make the connections i get the error 'connection reset by peer' which means my pgm is finding the oracle server but the server is refusing the connection. <br />

My question is :<br />
do i need to make any change in the oracle server config so that it can entertain the socket connection for the database th. Java?<br />
