Running Redhat 6.0/6.1 with xntp3-5.93-13 (rpm version) and out of the blue it just dies. &nbsp;If you run a status, it says its dead but the subsystem is locked. &nbsp;<br />

The ntp.conf file is extremely simple simply listing the time server and leaving the default info alone.<br />

When it dies like this, the only way I have found to get it to run again in to remove it, and reinstall it. &nbsp;Nothing else seems to fix it. &nbsp;Even then, only for a short time....and it dies again.<br />

I have &nbsp;amix of 6.0 and 6.1 systems, it seems to have doen this on each one at one given time, randomly and then stopped for most.. but continues on a few.<br />
