Looking for good book

I am looking for a good book to learn Delphi.  I am not a programmer by trade.  I have programmed in QuickBasic a little and also Visual Basic a very little.  I am looking for something that will get me up to speed on the RAD quickly and also using .dcu files.  I am a Network Administrator and need to write quick small utilities to help manage a Novell and NT network.  I have Delphi programming for Dummies and SAMS Teach yourself Delphi 3 in 14 days.  It is a start but I am finding it less then stellar.  I am using Teach yourself VB in 21 days and finding that very good and looking for something similar to that.  Something that will start out with create a form, put an object on, write some code .. voila you have a program ... and then go from there.

This may sound a little kindergarten but for what I am doing should work find at least to get me started.

Even though this is a fairly easy question I am desparate for a good book and so am going to give more points for it to encourage answers. (yes that is spelled bribery)

I do not want to be a VB low rent district poor programming trailer trash type but prefer to use a real programming language.

First, go to WWW.INFORMIT.COM and register yourself.  Then look at the following URL

This is the 'Teach yourself Delphi in 21 days' book available on line.  You read it online or purchase it if you feel it is a worthwhile book.

I gave this book to one of my employees who had some minor programming background and she learned a lot from it.
www.amazon.com  have many good delphi books too many too list here as if you search for "delphi" there are 70 odd books. delphi4 bible ,delphi unleashed etc are both great books.
also good are the tomes api series that teach how to use the win32 api  calls.
