Can anyone say definitely whether or not Microsoft Word 5.1 is or is not compatible with Mac system 9.0.  I am able to open and use Word 5.1, but I experience system quits at the end of a session.

I can't even get it to work proper with OS 8.6. 8(
Maybe they'll release a patch to make it carbon compatible.  8P

Well lets see if I can answer this another way. The version of word that ships in Office 98 isn't even compatible with OS 9. There are a number of updates that came out for the whole office sweet with the introduction of OS 8.5 and up. So if that version of work needs updates to run on OS 9 then I would think that word 5.1 would for sure not be compatible. Wayne
