How to reset a Canon BJC-620?

I need to reset my Canon BJC-620, as it doesn't know where the paper edges are, anymore. Instead of printing, it just runs paper through because the paper edges are either together or overlapped, as far as the printer is concerned. It needs to do a carriage width check. Thank you.

Go to the following page and click tech support.  Then select your model.  Download the new drivers and install them.

Hi biard!

Turn off printer and unplug from wall, hold down power and print mode buttons and plug in AC power.  The printer will turn itself off after calibrating the linear encoder.

If this one doesn't fix your problem...

Unplug from wall (again!) plug back in while holding down the power, on line ff and envelope buttons.  The printer will turn itself off at the end of the linear encoder (2) recal.

If ALL else fails.....

Unplug printer as before, hold down power, online a ff buttons and plug in.  When ALL lights come on set the paper thickness lever to the THICK position and press the ff button.  Turn off the power before the head unit recaps.

This will run the linear encoder (2) cilibration and reset the ink sensor.
