Error 667

When trying to dial into our WAN, I get an error 667 as soon as the modem finishes it's handshake with our Company Shiva. The error windows references a corruption in the Registry, but Microsoft shows that error code to mean "Cannot read the media .INI file".

What's the problem here and what is the solution?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel. Add Remove/Programs. Click on our Windows setup tab. Double-click communications. Take the check mark out from the left of Dial up Networking. Restart the computer. Do the same steps except put the check mark in Dial up Networking. Restart the computer. Good luck. Registry time after that.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I fixed the problem by chaging from pulse to tone dialing.
