2nd CD (CD-RW) not recognized

My new installation of Mandrake 6.1 doesn't recognize my CD-RW.
How can I make it accesible, as a normal CD at least?
I went thru many many pages and didn't see this questIion listed.

My specs are:

1. HD 17Gb (For windows only)
2. HD 17Gb (For Linux only)
3. CD-ROM (IDE)
4. CD-RW    <-- This is the bad guy
If you need more info on my system, please leave a message here.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

mkdir /mnt/cdrw
mount /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrw -t iso9660

should do it (this assumes your CDRW is sec. slave, if not, modify the hdd bit)
