ultra ata 66 will not work in windows 2000?

i have to install on the 33 ide drive port and if i install on the 66 i can load the drivers but when it reboots it will not load or continue the setup becuase it can't find the drivers for the drive i have a soypo 6ba+IV board it uses the ultra ata 66 port setup in the bios! also when i install i run it from the cd on boot and press f6 to install secondardy device drivers!

Your motherboard uses the same Highpoint-tech HPT366 chip that the ABIT boards run.

I am currently using win2k with Highpoint drivers and would hope these are the same for you.

Don't try the the highpoint bios updates as these are most likey Abit bios's.

Install these drivers as you would any NT external "specified" setup driver.

To test have your system running from ATA33 and add the driver. If you can now see the ATA66 drives, Success.

I'm keen to hear of the results.
