usb driver

We are on NT 4.0 using Win95 workstations.  We have an HP 6300 series scanner using USB connectors. The scanner isn't recognized and there is a yellow ? in my comp-USB-properties. Do I USB drivers from Win98 to run this scanner?

First of all, what is this question doing in the Linux area?

Second: The HP6300 will ONLY work on Win98, it will NOT work on NT4, and it will NOT work on Win95+USB fix.
Even on 98 it will probably not work with some usb controllers, notably Via and SiS. Usb is another in a long line of non-standard 'Standards'
Question has a verified solution.
