Create Domain

Dear Experts, please help !
The next search condition allows only cities in California to be entered into columns that are
based on the CALIFORNIA domain:
CREATE DOMAIN California AS VARCHAR(25) CHECK ( VALUE LIKE "%, CA") ;

What does 'CA' means ? a table, a query or something ? please tell me and give me an example

Thanks from apin.

CA is the two letter abbreviation for the state of California. It is just a part of the string in the LIKE expression

Cheers,

Raymond.

There's not example to give. CA is just an abbreviation for california state, like NY is the abbreviation for New York state. Its just part of the search string, it has no other meaning for the database other than being the string "CA"

Cheers,

Raymond.

I think an example showing AZ being Arizona might be better.
