The thin blue line

When replying to HTML mail in Outlook98 a blue line shows up on the left side of the message. How do you delete that line in your reply message?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sounds like you have choosen to "prefix each line of the original message".  Go to Tools > Options > Preferences > Email options to change.

The line is a vertical stripe not a greater than symble.
True, but that setting isn't applied globally.  The ">" symbol will be applied against plain text, nothing against RTF, and the blue line in HTML.
