How do I make my boot drive a single 13 gig FAT 32 partition
I presently run WIN 95 with two FAT 16 drives totalling 12 gigs. I want to start from scratch with a new 13 gig drive. I will disconnect my existing drivesand I want to install the new 13 gig drive as a single FAT 32 partition C: drive with WIN 98 and then connect my 7 gig drive, transfer a few files, and convert it to a single 7 gig FAT 32 partition D: drive. I have a DOS 6.22 boot floppy to access my CDROM. How do I go about this? Do I FDISK the 13 gig drive into 7 partitions and then assume WIN 98 will ask to join them into a single 13 gig FAT 32 partition? If not, what do I do? Once the 13 gig is set up and WIN 98 is installed correctly , will the Drive Converter utility let me make a single 7 gig partition out of my old D: drive? I think this is an easy question but I haven't seen the step by step anywhere.
If you are starting with a new 13 gig drive, hook up the drive as C:. Insert the WIN98 start up disk and power the machine. Choose option 1, Set up from CD Rom. This will set up Win 98 from the CD and ask if you want a full partition or you may choose smaller ones. You don't boot from a DOS disk. After WIN98 is installed, you can manage your other drives. If you don't have a WIN 98 start up disk, then boot with your DOS disk and run set up from the CD. The first method is the best way.

Dennis provided more than enough detail for me to accomplish the transition. Too bad Microsoft doesn't provide these pointers in ther "Installation Manual" to use the term loosely. I would appreciate the name of the site that has the 98 boot disk files. I have the Upgrade and naturally, Bill was too cheap to spend $.25 on a boot floppy.
