Send scan twice

I have the scanjet 3300c and when I select start scan and then send the scan to omnipage pro 10 it rescans the document.
Is this normal?
And also my software disk failed to install uninstall.
Also the scanner works and sometimes doesn't.

Try selecting Set a Custom Resolution and then make sure there is not a check next to Rescan.  If there is, remove it so that no rescan is done.

If the software gave you a message that the uninstall information did not copy over, it is most likely related to whatever virus software you have on the machine.  I some cases it may be necessary to completely uninstall the antivirus software to install the scanner, especially if it is Norton's.

That may also be why the intermittent function of the scanner.  There may be many other causes, but try uninstalling the scanner, then the antivirus software and then reinstalling the scanner first.

My answer is fairly simple.

I do not know why does it rescan the document but I believe it is a feature in Omnipage.  To prevent that, please use Omnipage twain feature to scan instead of PrecisionScan.

If your scanner fail to install or uninstall, there might be a problem with the PC registry.  And as to why the scanner is working inconsistently, my guess is that there is a conflict somewhere.  What is the error you got when you have this problem ?
