Web based email
Hello,
I've been looking at web based email programs on yahoo, hotmail, etc....
I am trying to implement something like this for our employees. Are the web based email client application all developed in house and how. Are there any commercial or free applications. Basically I want to know how yahoo (and others do it) so I can do it myself.
Thanks,
Joe

Actually, I already looked at microsoft exchange and OWA. In order to get it to look and do what we want it would take just as long to start from scratch and create our own web based system. I just want to know how it is done, what the architecture would be and so on? Why try to fix someone else bugs when you have developers who will fix their own.
Thanks,
Joe
Thanks,
Joe

jhance,
ASPPOP3 looks promising, are there any bugs or quirks I should now about?
Thanks,
Joe

None that I'm aware of...
There is nothing magical about ASPPOP3, however. You could develop your own but for the cost of the thing I think you're better off buying vs. building.
