Ultra DMA66 Harddrive is unrecognizable

I have an Ultra 66DMA harddrive and when I reach the SCSI adaptar part of the installation process I get hung up.  No matter what I choose it says it is unrecognizable.  Is there any way around this problem?

What happens when you choose none?

1. UDMA is _not_ scsi, its IDE
2. UDMA/66 is not supported, see http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~b6506063/hpt366/ for details.

Still won't work. The stock kernels has no support for UDMA66, check the link i supplied.

Thanks for the help.  I guess I will find a different harddrive.

The _harddrive_ is NOT the problem.

The _controllers_ ARE the problem.

Even if you hook an old HDD to the UDMA66 controller it _will not work_.
