MSVC 6.0 Enterprise edition!!

Hi all,

I have installed microsoft visual studio 6.0 at the window 98 last week. The applicaiton MSVC 6.0 could be started normally.

Today, after I have setup the Microsoft office 2000, I cannot start the VC application.

After clicking the shortcut at the desktop, the error like this prompt up:

Runtime Error!

Progam:...LES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\COMMON\MSDEV98\BIN\MSDEV.EXE

abnormal program termination

When I read the detail of the error, it contains:

MSDEV caused an invalid page fault in
module SSSCC.DLL at 015f:60566ee2.

What is the problem? I cannot start the VC applicaiton now.

I have already uninstalled office 2000....still cannot start VC6.0 now.

Any comment about this!

Thanks.

There are several DLL files that have the same name but are different in some ways, like the MFC and comctl etc.. so the best way is reinstall VC++6.0 complete again.

If you would like to use Office 2000 and VC++ then you have to work it out with VC++5.0 instead.

or

you can have a batch file for having the DLLs placed in the system directory when you use VC++6.0 and Office 2000

The dlls of Office 2000 might be older than Office 2000, and install VC6 after that should be fine for both.
