Nested Tables

I'm trying to put together a web page with a lot of different images.  I think the best way to do this would be nested tables.  I have it looking the way I want to, almost.  There are still spaces between the nested tables.  Is there an easy way to make them align left or anything?

I have tables nested 4 deep.

THanks

Try

CELLPADDING=0

and/or

CELLSPACING=0

It's very difficult to get *no* gap whatsoever... the only I can suggest is to browse with IE which for some reason never separates <TR>'s or <TD>'s unless told to.

If you're viewing your code in Netscape especially (as "Gravity" said, they display tables in images very differently) you actually have the advantage of always being able to see when it does that.

Try:
<table cellpsadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0>
(and other attributes)
and make sure there is no space between the end of your image tag and your closing </TD>, not even a line break.  In other words:

<img src="imagename.gif" border="0" alt=""></td>

is NOT going to give the same result as:

<img src="imagename.gif" border="0" alt="">
</td>

No one knows why, I don't think, and it's not 100% foolproof.  Unfortunately I forget what the other thing to look for is.  However this is usually enough for most cases.  For good measure, you may want to move any closing </TR> tags right beside the last </TD> tag as well:

<img src="imagename.gif" border="0" alt=""></td></tr>
</table>

will be fine.

Hope that helps!
