"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

HI,

I dont think, there is no the limit for it. But if the items are more, then the CListCtrl will take lot of time to update the items. To avoid that u can use the text callback function or the virtual list control, so that updation will be faster.

Try it out.

Why check that out? This will be a very ineffective way to build your program.

If your goal is to use the list control as a data container then please loose that thought, the list should be better used for GUI only.

CListBox  in members have 32 bit value - store here index only and may be name of value. This a good way, and fast.

Not yet!  devayani, If you have a large amount of items then you will need to prepare a paging mechnanism that will switch the items in the list acording to certain rools.

It is not complicated to program, let us know if you need more instructions.
