EZ Cd Creator 4 not installing in win 98

I recently purchaced a copy of Adaptec ez cd creator 4 and when i tried to install it i keep getting an error message in win 98 "inst32 caused an invalid page fault" theres more to the message ill write down when i try to reinstall. Ive checked hardware compatability with my burner and that doesnt seem to be the issue, i have a feeling i might have been duped into buying a not so legit copy it was purchased at a computer fair pretty cheap could the disc be damaged or should i reinstall win 98 and see if that helps.

Mooseman, create a folder on your "C" drive and copy the contents of the CD to that folder. Now run the installation setup from there and see what happens. Make sure that you disable any antivirus programs you have. You may want to open your close programs dialogue box (Ctrl+Alt+DEL) and end task for everything except Systray and Explorer, then try the installation.
