Adobe Acrobat

I have an acrobat pdf file.  Is it possible for me to add page header/footer to the pdf file?  If yes, how?

it's possible if u have acrobat reader program(which bundle with adobe distiller) that allow u to create pdf file) with that program u can edit the file(eg. adding header and footer) or if u have adobe photoshop 5.5 u also can edit the pdf file.

rickson,

thank you for your response.  I have acrobat reader program, and I can modify the pdf file.  my question is how to add a header/footer to the file.  I can goto every page to put the text and logo on the top or bottom of the file.  But is there a place that I can place the logo and text, and apply to every page?

Thanks

Yes. If you apply a field to the page that contains the text you want properly positioned on the first page. Then go to Edit/Fields/Duplicate and tell it to repeat on all pages.

I imported an image (gif file) into the first page of the PDF file.  I use the "TouchUp Object Tool" to select the gif image.  I didn't see the Fields/Duplicate option under Edit.  But I saw it under Tools/Forms/Fields/Duplicate.  However, the Duplicate option isn't enabled.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

You have to insert the picture on a *form field*, not as the background image of the page. The page is like wallpaper, behind everything. As you add fields, notes, links, etc., they are in the foreground. This is why you can replace the background without destroying the links and such. When you IMPORT you're taking a graphic and converting it into the wallpaper. If you want something to appear on all pages, you need to have a foreground object (field, link, etc) and repeat *that*. You can have a field be graphical so you can have a repeating icon or somesuch. I don't know if there is a limit on the size of the field.
