VB Form Refreshing

I am using an ActiveX control that mimics Windows Explorer with a tree-view control.  I would like to turn off the form redraw when I traverse the tree to speed things up and avoid the annoying screen flicker.  When the process is done I would then turn the redraw back on.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can do this by using the LockWindowUpdate API...

Declare Function LockWindowUpdate Lib "user32" Alias "LockWindowUpdate" (ByVal hwndLock As Long) As Long

Pass the hWnd of the treeview to stop the update and 0& to start the update again...
