winAPI to handle URL files ?

Hi, are they any win api functions
that let me handle url files ?
I know it's a text file, but it's just to know.
any help about that ?
For example (hello mike)

[DEFAULT]
BASEURL=http://www.lischke-online.de/
[InternetShortcut]
URL=http://www.lischke-online.de/
Modified=F0D53807695CBF0189
IconFile=http://www.lischke-online.de/favicon.ico
IconIndex=1

How can I handle the Modified value ? is that a datetime
or something ?

Thanks.

Hi John...   :-)

Well, in url.dll there is a COM object implemented that can deal with these url files. The problem is that this dll is not included in the standard Windows installation. It comes only with the Internet Explorer. So if your programs run under win95 or winNT4, this dll is not available...

Hello Madshi,
It's not a problem because anyway I'm
usinf the EmbeddedWB Component that does
require ie5+
Do you have a link for some help, or even the link in MSDN ? I never know
wher to find something there...

Hi jeurk :-))

I have no idea how to handle those files other than with the interface Madshi mentioned. There's also only very few information in MSDN...

ok, here is what I found.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/isapi/msdnlib.idc?theURL=/library/psdk/shellcc/shell/internet_shortcuts.htm
This is the msdn help page.
But like always, it's full of shell com stuff.
And I still don't understand something
at this. If you get your paws on something
fine, let me know please.
Thanks.

In fact I saw it that weekend. You are
right Barry.
On euromind you can look in the section
favorites. they have the interface for
url.dll
And have two compos, one that puts all
the favorites related function in your
main menu, and another that creates a
treeview that shows all your favorites.

your link is also nice madshi...
so I'm gonna use the solution pointed
out by barry's link. He will get the
points if you agree Madshi ?

Mike ? do you want some points because
I used a link to your site ;)

thanks guys.
