Startx = BLANK SCREEN?

First I would type startx and get a blank white screen, then I "fixed" the problem, NOW I GET AN ERROR?
I don't know what I'm doing (I'm new at this)...
Can you help?

first if u were new in this. tell me what is your hardware device especially the video display card(chipset brand. when u boot up if in the prompt try configure the hardware setting. by typing
xconfigurator

xf86
