Line numbers

I have a huge amount of code here and I want to know how I can easily add line numbers and trap to line number(s) specifically for errors like “syntax error in FROM clause”?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Since VB code are simple text files it's really easy to add line numbers, and therefore there are loads of sharewares that does that. You'll find a couple on altavista if you search for it, for example
