Mac Mouse Freeze Up

I have a performa 630. I've recently had problems with the mouse freezing up. I managed to get it working by plugging it directly into the machine rather than through the keyboard, re-installed the system, but then it started freezing up when directly connected. It sometimes gets a mind of it's own and darts across the screen.

Has anyone else come across this problem, where is the problem most likely to be......the keyboard connection.......the mouse........the computer connection.......all the above?????!!!!!

But if the mouse freezes up, when i take the mouse out from the computer and plug the keyboard in, shouldn't the keyboard work??????

Not if you havent restarted yet. ADB is not hotpluggable. But after a restart yes then the keyboard should work. This most definitely isnt a software problem unless your mouse drivers are corrupt.
